Malnutrition caused by the Government does not mean doctors should be prescribing food
Malnutrition caused by the Government does not mean doctors should be prescribing food, this costs the already struggling NHS when there are better ways of providing nutrition to those in poverty. The amount of food waste produced by businesses is worth around £5.1 billion per year, that is £5.1 million just thrown in the bin every year. Instead of costing the NHS more money to provide those in poverty the nutrition they need, it is time the Government clamp down on businesses to give food they can’t sell to those in poverty before its end of shelf life.
At the same time, the Government needs to look into ways of actually fixing the Poverty trap.
